World Hypertension day
May 25, 2025·By Ms. Agnes
Today is World Hypertension Day—a day to raise awareness about high blood pressure, often called the silent killer because it shows no symptoms but can lead to heart attacks, stroke, and kidney damage. This year’s theme is “Know Your Numbers”, reminding us all to check our blood pressure regularly. A healthy reading is below 120/80 mmHg.
Quick Tips to Prevent Hypertension:
Eat less salt and processed food
Stay active daily
Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
Manage stress
Check your BP regularly
